A NEW WORLD ORDER ?

LATELY,WITH THE WESTERN WORLD NOW REELING IN ECONOMIC DISARRAY,PROFESSORS OF PARACETAMOL ECONOMICS ARE GENEROUS WITH THE DISPENSATION OF THEIR MANTRAS ,CALLING FOR A NEW WORLD ORDER, THEIR PRESCRIPTION TO CURE THE WORLD OF ITS PRESENT MALAISE..

PARACETAMOL ECONOMICS IS AN APPICATION THAT SPECIALIZES IN THE PERFORMANCE OF AUTOPSIES TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF DEATH  - AN ACT NOT UNLIKE BOLTING THE BARN DOOR AFTER THE MARE HAS BOLTED. 

AND THE PRESCRIPTION COMES WITH A SPIN OF ITS MAGIC PILL - THE PANACEA FOR THE DISORDER - A NEW WORLD ORDER ! 

BUT IS IT POSSIBLE TO BRING ABOUT  THE CURE - TO SOLVE THE EFFECTS WITHOUT FIRST SOLVING THE CAUSE ?

The root cause of the malady is the paradoxes of the American ideology :-

FREEDOM,DEMOCRACY AND CAPITALISM.

FREEDOM? What freedom ? We are not meant to be free.

Everything gets recycled back to Nature to our source ! 

What comes first - the chicken or the egg ? 

Do humans really know who they are, where they are from,why they are here ,can they truly justify their existence ? (Perhaps, if we know the answers to these questions, we will all start to look and treat each other differently, like more humanely !?!

We are born into this world,we try to make our life and existence as meaningful as we humanly and possibly can and then we die and become fertilizer !

So, we are never free because we have to repeat the cycle of propagation to prolong our existence as a specie !

What goes up must come down. We are all held together and contained in this oblate spheroid called Earth by the same gravitational force that holds all the planets to the Sun - the centre of our universe.

So, the word, freedom , is a misnomer because to be truly free we will all cease to exist as a specie !

The other alternative will be to take a rocket to transport ourselves into outer space and drift on and on and on into infinity !Maybe we are not meant to be so emotionally and physically attached! The human spirit is supposed to move on once the body has expired. If we look at the animal kingdom, the bondage between parent and offspring is severed if not lessened once the offspring matures. Whereas humans have this unique behavioral trait to not only maintain their special bondage with their living but with their dead as well as in the carrying on with the paternal name. We are not meant to accumulate all this material junk that in our delusion, we called treasures because we know we can never bring it with us when we expire but instead, we decide to pass on our material junk to our next of kin and in the process develop the habit of possession, control and greed and that is the root of all human miseries - both pleasures and pains ! 

DEMOCRACY ?  Define democracy!Does  democracy includes the toppling of democratically elected foreign governments because they are deemed unfriendly to the American cause ? Does democracy includes the installation and support of foreign dictatorial puppet regimes even one that commit inhumane attrocities that curb freedom, civil liberties and democracy ??

 

CAPITALISM ? Is capitalism nothing more than Adam Smith's "unseen hand" working towards its self enrichment at the expense of the rest, an unholy act that has succumbed to its obscene greed!?!

What good is a body with the brilliance of mind but without the kindness of heart, capitalism without socialism,monopolisation without competition ?What good is globalisation if it means total domination but without equal distribution of the world's limited resources and wealth ?

It is not just about economis, stupid ! It is about competitive economics ! It is not about accumulation of wealth, it is about the creation of wealth !

It is not about beggaring thy neighbour,but enriching thy neighbour because what good will become of a rich man in a global village of poor men !?! Will he be able to live and enjoy his wealth in peace !?

AMERICA, PLEASE DO THE WORLD A FAVOUR. STOP TRYING TO SAVE THE WORLD, SAVE YOURSELF FIRST !

A FEW HUNDRED YEARS BACK, THE COLONIAL POWERS TOOK IT UPON THEMSELVES TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE, IN THE NAME OF RELIGION AND CIVILISATION.

TODAY, AMERICA IS TRYING TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE, IN THE NAME OF FREEDOM, DEMOCRACY AND CAPITALISM !

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT TODAY CONSUMERS ARE MORE ENLIGHTENED - THEY CAN SEE THAT AN OLD PRODUCT UNDER A NEW BRAND IS STILL AN OLD ONE UNDERNEATH - HEGEMONY !!!

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE WORLD IS THE DIRECT RESULT OF THE "UNSEEN HANDS" OF HUMANS BEHAVING BADLY, NO MORE AND NO LESS!

Free” enterprise and “free” market economy do not exist - the word “free” is a misnomer.There is no such thing as a freebie ! Someone has to pay and ultimately, it's the tax payers who have to shoulder the burden and consequences of the costly mistakes of the corrupt and greedy few. In the world we are living in, if there is total freedom to think,say and act at will, with impunity, there will be total anarchy !!There has to be order and law to uphold civility in society.

Isn’t it amazing and ironic that the so called champions of capitalism are now stumped ,at the break down of the world’s financial system and the impending anarchy about to be unleashed at the world’s economy?

What is happening in the world at large is not unlike in the game of monopoly where the game has to ultimately end when it cannot be played anymore - the winner(s) ended up winning everything and the loser(s) ended up losing everything. The only way to continue playing the game is either by starting all over again or by changing the rules of the game ! We have to change the level of the playing field, the status quo, otherwise only certain teams will remain in the Premier League while the rest will remain at the bottom or get relegated to the sub-divisions!

The downfall was brought about by over liquidity in the world’s financial system and greed ! There was so much easy money coming from “phantom” economy, “bubble” economy ,etc - commodities and stocks trading, petrol dollars,drug and human trafficking - there was a run out of legitimate and profitable portfolios to invest in. So what did the Wall Street players do ? The Feds under Mahaguru Greenspan started to deregulate the US financial system by lowering the borrowing interest rates and credit rating to make it easier for people to borrow money,to apply for loans,credit cards,etc,so that banks and financial institutions can make more money lending out money !

By doing so, the Financial Institutions became "shylocks" and in throwing caution to the wind, they broke the basic golden rule of legitimate finance - never lend to anyone who does not have a solid credit rating or who does not have the earning capacity to perform a loan. So, they created the sub-prime loans and bubbles to inflate the actual value and price of the loans to give both borrowers and lenders the sense of false security that the ultimate increase in the (future)value/price of their properties will even allow the borrowers to take out a second mortgage on their existing loans to pay for a new car, holiday,etc!

But what was not in the plan was 911 because immediately after that, the Arabs decided to pull their petrol dollars out of the USA and decided to park it in Europe. So, the US banks began to borrow from the European Banks and in doing so, export their bad loans and bad practices to Europe and the rest is history !

So,the billion dollar question, how do we get out of this royal mess !?!

The world leaders notably from G7,EU,NAFTA,ASEAN,ASIAN PACIFIC RIM and other economic blocs have to meet,brainstorm and take bold measures.

1) Write off all bad debts -from the USA to AFRICA. No bail outs - the people who should pay are the oil barons and the greedy and filthy rich who are the active participants in phantom economy.

2)Abolish the single trading currency ! Bring in a few more - the Euro, the Yen or even the Reminbi to compete,to break the monopoly of the USD. This will encourage America to keep its house in order.

3)Redefine the true meaning of the word “Globalisation” -as in, fair competition and fair distribution of the world’s resources and wealth. Bring back competition, abolish monopolisation !

4)Regulate and restructure the world economic and finance system to prevent the manipulation of supply/demand/price mechanism which has given rise to bubble and phantom economies which has taken the wind out of real economies.

5)Replace “profit and loss” with “win and win” to enable a paradigm shift in the motive for doing business to enhance the mutual benefits of all participants.

6)Acknowledge and actively encourage all nations especially China, India and other industrialized economies of the feasability and inevitability of Green Technology which will replace Fossil fuels as human civilisation’s next generator of growth that will revolutionize the way the future generations live !

What is happening to the world economic system is a wake up call to give humankind the window of opportunity to pause and contemplate where we are going to end up if we continue with the way we subsist and the way we mistreat the Earth’s resources.

There must be something seriously flawed with a world system where the minority quarter of the haves enjoy and owns everything while the remaining half of the world’s population lives in abject poverty; when food overproduced get thrown away or destroyed so as not to disrupt commodity prices, when the food could have been used to feed the millions dying of starvation in other parts of the world; when life saving medicines which are so cheap to make are with held from the millions dying from Aids just because such ventures will not return its desired profit margins.
